Corban Estate Arts Center

On Monday we visited the Corban Estate Arts Center as part of our topic on Globalisation. We all had a brilliant time making a Pou Whenua to celebrate our cultural heritage. We had to think of a symbol for our family, guardian and our home. Then we got to mold our pou out of clay. Our teacher Kairava did a great job showing us what to do and we all created something amazing. Take a look below at some of our art work. We can't wait until they have been put in the kiln and we get them back in a few weeks time.
Thank-you to Trudy, Teena and Angela for joining us on the trip.
Waiting to enter the arts center.
Listening carefully about what we are about to do.

First we had to sketch our design.
